lol rp sample

Putting up Zuko's third person rp sample because it offers a glimpse into his conflict with Iroh. And Jae wanted me to.

---

The walls whispered around Zuko, telling him to turn back, turn away, but he had to do this. He tightened his cloak about him and proceeded on with a confident step that he did not altogether feel. A guard barked at him to stop, but he didn't-- which caught his attention. "Where do you think you're going!?" Zuko pulled away, yellow eyes flashing with anger. All it took was one well-placed glare in the guard's direction to make him withdraw. "Prince Zuko! Forgive me, I had no idea it was ..."

"You will let me come and go as I please, and you will not tell anyone I have been here, under any circumstances. Is that clear?" he practically hissed, his eyes something venemous. The guard nodded and promptly removed himself of the adolescent prince's path. "I don't want to deal with this a third time."

"Yes, Prince Zuko!"

He moved down cold stone corridors that were bathed with searing light. This place was a damned paradox, and Zuko was feeling rather like one too. As he neared the turn that led to his uncle's cell, he reassured himself of the small, warm box tucked underneath his arm. He'd been doing this for a few weeks... sneaking out in the dead of night to visit his uncle who'd practically disowned him anyway. He prayed silently that this time, Iroh would turn around and help him.

"Uncle." Zuko's voice felt soft and weak even in the tight walls. The light crept across his relative's broad, ragged back, illuminated the silver strands through the dirt. Still, he did not turn around. "I... brought you some food from the kitchens." He knelt and slipped the box carefully through the bars. Bread, some stew, fancy things that the old man probably missed. It wasn't a bribe. Really. "They think I didn't eat anything when we were banished, so they expect me to..." The teen trailed off when he realized Iroh still wasn't paying attention. "Are you deaf?! You're supposed to say thank you!"

More silence.

"Fine, be a stupid, stubborn old man! I--..." He couldn't bring himself to say that he hated his uncle. He couldn't. He slammed his palms against the bars. "I'll be back later! You'd better answer me by then!" The door clattered noisily behind Zuko as he stomped out, leaving the ashes of their bond to die into nothingness. But he would be back. In a world of strange familiarities, Iroh had all the answers, and Zuko never let his questions stay unanswered for long.
